Saber Marionette J Collection 1 * While playing the Music Video on the second disk, if you select the first subtitle track, you'll see English translation of the lyrics, if you choose the second subtitle track, you'll see the romaji version, and if you choose the third subtitle track, you'll see the lyrics in Japanese characters.
Saber Marionette J Collection 2 * Like Volume 1, the music video on the second Saber Marionette J set (Cherry Musical Circuit) contains translated lyrics, Romaji, and raw Japanese captions as subtitle tracks accessible via manual selection of the tracks (but strangely, not via the disc menu).
Saber Marionette J Collection 3 * To access a mini documentary of sub characters (top ten), wait for the menu to load at least twice (let the main menu run a couple of times, undisturbed), then it will let you access the red orb on the upper right. * On the first disc, go into Setup first. You don't have to change anything. You can just go in and exit back out to the Main menu. Press right from Play. This will cause the signal lamp that is unobscured to light up. Press enter and you get a live-action segment titled "Japones Headline" with Megumi Hayashibara. * Click the j in the SMJ logo in the top left corner after visiting setup or letting the background video play once The subtitles thing on the music videos is also present as in previous volumes. * On the first disk, just go to "title #12", and you will get a creditless opening & ending.
Sailor Moon S: Hearts In Ice Standalone: Select "Extra Stuff" from the main menu as before, then highlight (but don't select) "Transformation Scenes". Then press left--the crescent moon on Luna's forehead will turn red. Press Enter to see Luna's transformation.
Saiyuki Vol. #1 (also w/box) * Go to the extra menu and highlight "Main". Press up and it will highlight the chi orb that Hakkai is forming. Select it and you will be shown the show's preview.
Samurai Deeper Kyo Vol. #1 * On the Extras page, press 3 on your remote. This will bring up stills from the series.
Samurai Deeper Kyo Vol. #2 * Go to Extras. On that page, press 5 on your remote. Cosplay!
Samurai X Vol. #1 * Region 4: Instead of moving through episode names, setup options and extras by using the up/down remote buttons, move to the side. A secret option to show the SamX trailer appears at the left of the screen when highlighted.
Serial Experiments Lain Vol. #1 * All four Serial Experiments Lain DVD's have hidden pieces on the main menu by just hitting up on your remote. This will highlight usually Lain's eyes but I think the first one highlights a letter in the logo above the options. All of these lead to single or multi-image clips that are worth checking out.
Slayers: The Book of Spells * On the main menu screen, highlight "Jeffery's Knighthood" and then hit left, the cursor will disappear, hit select and you will see a neat ADV on DVD music video.
Speed Racer Limited Edition Vol. #1 * These extras have nothing to do with Speed Racer, but they are great anyway! On the trivia game, answer question 5 correctly (it's not hard). At the congratulations screen, instead of pushing "next", press the up arrow on your remote. You'll highlight the Mammoth Car, which is lurking in the background. Press enter and you'll get three vintage 50's animated commercials (for paint, bug spray, and milk)! Plus, answer all 10 questions right on the quiz itself, and you'll get to see a breathtaking adventure involving obscure 50's animated hero, Col. Bleep (if you're a Ren and Stimpy fan, you'll love this)!
Spirit of Wonder * On the Extras menu, click on where Windy\'s hand points to the planet chart (or highlight Trailers and move right), for a slightly, uh...DIFFERENT take on the Mars mission.
Spirited Away * In the "Bonus Features" section of the DVD, if you press up when "Introduction By John Lasseter," new text will be highlighted showing, "Meet Hayao Miyazaki." Press enter to reveal an interview between Miyazaki and Lasseter at the Spirited Away premiere in the United States.
Spriggan * On the main menu, go highlight "Special Ops", then hit right, then hit Enter. You will then be treated to the theatrical trailer.
Strawberry Eggs Vol. #1 * From the main menu, make sure the "Begin Class" item is highlighted. From there, press right two times, then press down six times, then press left two times. (You'll see a line appear under Extra Credit here.) Press left one more time, then press enter. You'll be taken to an amusing clip with Hibiki in Arucard (from Hellsing) mode. This doesn't work on the menu's first load - it only works on the looping portion of the menu (with Fuko's head rotating in the logo on the right). You'll need to select something in the menu, then go back first. This is also accessible by hitting menu item 24 on the remote.
Strawberry Eggs Vol. #2 * Go down to 7th Period. Once there, hit left, down, right, right, down, up, left, left, and then enter. This will bring you to "Bench Talk: What If". It connects with the "Bench" scene in the 7th episode. This doesn't work on the menu's first load. It only works on the looping portion of the menu. You'll need to select something in the menu then go back first, or just wait until the initial introduction is done.
Street Fighter Alpha * Go to Special Features, then click on weblinks, and then click on the manga symbol to see the original Japanese trailer of the Street Fighter Alpha OVA.
Street Fighter II V Vol. #3 * If you go to the extra menu and click on the manga symbol, it will show the US trailer for Street Fighter 2 V.
